Editing a guide to supporting displaced families for Place2Be and Save the Children
I edited Supporting displaced families: A good practice guide for schools in 2025, a joint project between children’s mental health charity Place2Be and Save the Children. The guide aims to help teachers and school staff create welcoming environments for families and young people who have been forced to leave their homes, whether they’re escaping war or persecution, fleeing domestic abuse or facing homelessness.
Working closely with a psychotherapist who is an expert in this area, I collated and carefully structured key information and quotes into an easy-to-read, trauma-informed, actionable guide. I also managed the design of and photography for the report, working with my long-term graphic designer colleague Mitchell Davies.
