I’ve worked extensively with Girlguiding on for the past 10 years. Just a few of my projects include:

• Editing and managing the production of Girlguiding’s annual report (PDF, 6.3MB) in 2026. This included editing copy, managing and coordinating feedback from multiple stakeholders, from senior leadership to finance, and managing design. I also worked with senior leadership to create powerful scripts and decks to present the report at Girlguiding’s AGM.

• Writing and editing the 300+ activities that make up Girlguiding’s activity programme for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers, plus editing badge books for each section too. This included writing engaging, exciting copy, directed squarely at girls, encouraging them to choose badges or activities to do in their meetings, and showing them clearly how to do them with easy-to-understand instructions.

• Working with Girlguiding’s safeguarding team to design an easy-to-understand and easy-to-navigate suite of content to help busy leaders meet Girlguiding’s standards and give girls the best experience possible. This included content on risk assessments and policies and procedures.

• Regularly contributing to Girlguiding’s digital magazine for leaders, guiding. For example, I wrote this feature about the history of the Extension section for disabled girls and this feature about leaders’ passion for motorsports.

• Editing the last 5 editions of the Girls’ Attitudes Survey, Girlguiding’s flagship research study into the challenges girls and young women face today.
